Concepts and Perspectives on Art
When engaging with art, I believe it involves accessing classifications that individuals feel particularly close to. Those involved in art strive to be as precise as possible with these classifications. This is because if individuals lose that sense of closeness, the significance of artistic practice and thought becomes unclear. Before getting drawn into such a troublesome maze, I want to practice within this field through as diverse a set of coordinates surrounding art as possible.
First, I will practice exploring the fundamental nature of art from the ground up. Since multiple primal qualities exist within art, I will access each one individually. Art is composed of various “art-like” aspects and elements combined together; it is a complex “something” that mediates through these very qualities.
・Chronological and topographical factors
Primitive and ancient Greek/Roman, monoliths, etc.
・Origins in animism between humans and nature
Numinous origins in mountains, forests, water, shrines, fear, etc.
・Lifestyle origins
・Origins rooted in daily life
“Life” refers to realistic, contemporary activities in the real world, and the creation of design is an essential approach for the artist. The assertion that “Art is all about life.”
・Origins and generative systems of cognitive and spiritual art, such as automatic writing and speed writing
アートへの観念と視点
アートを行うにあたっては、より一層個人が近接に感じる分類へアクセスするものだと思う。アートに携わる者は、その諸分類に対して、なるべく正確さを図ろうと努力をしている。なぜならば個人がその近接さを失ってしまっては、アートへの実践や思考の意義が不明瞭になってしまうからだ。私はそうしたやっかいな迷路に引き込まれないうちに、アートを取り巻く、なるべく多様な座標を通してこの分野について実践していきたい。
まずはアートの原初的な性格についてを一から実践していくことだ。アートの原初的な性質は複数存在しているから、そのひとつひとつにアクセスしていく。アートは「アートらしい」様相や諸要素が組み合わさってできており、アートはそれらの性格を媒介しながら複合的に成り立っている「何か」である。
・時系列的、地形的な要因
原始および古代ギリシャ・ローマ、モノリスなど
・人間と自然のアニミズムなどの起源
山岳、森、水、神社、怖さなどのヌミノーゼ的な起源
・生活的な起源
「生活」は、実世界での現実的で現代的な営みであり、デザインの生成は作家の必須なアプローチである。「アートこそ生活がすべて」という主張。
