As is the case with paintings, it is very peaceful to be in a state where things are connected to each other without any sense of discomfort when the artist arranges and places various objects that form the artist's image in a material art space, in other words, a state similar to that of a landscape painting. Literally hand in hand, events and occurrences contact each other and call to each other, and the previously dissimilar and incompatible beings and existences meet like the flow of a river to create a slice of landscape as a moment in time. Eating breakfast, watching the news, friends who live far away, the dream you had last night, etc., we are continuously separated and fragmented from things in our daily lives as a matter of course. However, in art, like a landscape painting that captures a moment in time, the hand of the artist easily and unexpectedly blends in. It is not the abruptness or heterogeneity of collage or assemblage, but the peaceful melding of events that seem to be very naturally geographically distant from each other.

絵画においても、物質的な芸術空間においても、作家のイメージとなる諸対象を並べたり、配置したりするときに、その物事と物事が違和感なく地続きになっている状態、つまりある一つの風景画のような状態であることは、とても平和的である。文字通り手と手をつなぎ、事象と事象とが接触し合い呼応し合うことで、これまで異質で相容れなかった存在と存在とが、川の流れのように出会い、一瞬としての風景の切り取りを実現させる。朝ごはんを食べる・ニュースを見る・遠方に住む友人・昨晩見た夢など、私たちは生活において当たり前のように物事と物事が切り離され分断され続けている。しかし、こと芸術においては一瞬を切り取った風景画のように、芸術家の手によって、簡単に、意外なほどに馴染んでいくのである。それはコラージュやアッサンブラージュのような唐突さや異質さではない、ごく自然に地理的にかけ離れたような事象でも、平和的に溶け合うのである。
